Speaking with the New York Times, Villeneuve confirmed he’s actively working on the script for Messiah as the movie (Dune) continues to take the right steps towards coming to fruition. While Villeneuve keeps Messiah‘s story details close to the chase, the Dune franchise helmer hints that moviegoers will see more of the raw emotion Zendaya’s character, Chani, showed at the end of Part Two. “That anger [felt by Zendaya’s character at the end of Part Two] is tremendous. I don’t want to reveal what I’m going to do with the third movie. I know exactly what to do. I’m writing it right now. But there’s a lot of firepower there, and I’m very excited about that decision,” he said.
