In line with the Katsina State security challenge containment order, the Police Command on Wednesday paraded a 25-year-old lady with six gallon of petrol concealed in her hijab.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Gambo Isah, the lady identified as Rashida Hussaini is allegedly an informant and supplier of petrol to bandits in the forest.

SP Gambo said Rashida packaged the commodity in used bottled water containers, then stack them in a sack and a handbag before hiding it under her hijab while heading to an unknown location.

According to the report, the suspect who was intercepted by a team of policemen on routine patrol around Kofar Guga on Jibiya Road, claimed she was from Daddara village in Jibiya Local Government Area but later said Gombe State then again said she is from Hirji, a village in the Niger Republic.

Rashida, however, denied that she was taking the petrol to bandits in the forest but was meant for grinding machines.

Consequently, the state police spokesman said she will be charged to court to answer to the law for violating the security challenge containment order recently signed into law by the executive governor of the State, Aminu Masari.
