Expect more plane crashes in 2010 – Prophet
A man of God, Evangelist Innocent Ugochukwu has made chilling revelations on what the country would witness on its path to a ‘new Nigeria’. Speaking at a press briefing, Evangelist Ugochukwu said God is sending a man through whom Nigeria shall be liberated from bad governance. The man of God, however, said that before the emergence of this new leader, there shall be a great purging, especially in high places which shall come through plane crashes and bloodshed. His words: “The coming leader is a man not familiar with the seat of power, and he shall not be ready to compromise or join the bandwagon of corruption. Only by his hand shall change be entrenched in every sphere of our national life. Nigerians should expect the emergence of this man not long from now.” He made reference to an earlier revelation God made through him early in 2009 which came to pass, in which God told him specifically that President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua will not lead Nigeria into 2010. The statement, in a bulletin published in February 2009 and titled A New Nigeria read in part “…Yar’Adua does not have the divine approval to sit over the affairs of Nigeria. Yar’Adua will not lead the nation and people into 2010. His continuous presiding over the affairs of the nation will amount to gross misconduct and heavy wastage”. He stated that the fulfillment of that revelation which took the president out of Nigeria through failed health was the beginning of the cleansing. Speaking further, he implored Nigerians to pray for the will of God on the nation. “The plane crashes issue is a serious one and should be seen as such. The people of God should pray hard. This year will not pass by without these incidents and it shall involve the nation’s bigwigs. There shall be a lot of bloodshed, but with this shall emerge the new leader”.

Only God Is Sufficient – Cleric
While delivering a sermon entitled, ‘My sufficiency is of God,’ the cleric noted that the celebrant had every cause to thank God for His mercies in his life, retiring as a Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Ogun State, after enlisting in the state civil service in 1977 as a Produce Officer II. He also urged him to see his retirement as the beginning of another phase of his life. “Though retired from the civil service, you are still in the active service of God. Another phase has opened for you, though a phase has closed. God has blessed you with a sound knowledge, for you to have attained this height through hardwork. What do you have that is not given to you by God? So, you are thanking God for all he has done for you,” the cleric said. Speaking further, he advised him to find assurance in Saint Paul’s words, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” For the celebrant, there was also a moment of recollection and examination of conscience, as the cleric asked him to reflect on all his years in the service and see if he had touched lives of those around him, and also what he has contributed to the Ogun State Civil Service. The occasion, which appeared to be threefold, also marked the celebrant’s 60th anniversary and the launch of his late wife’s, (Olabisi Onajole) endowment fund, which Bishop Fape described as “a way of serving God,” as he extolled the deceased’s virtues. When the church service was over, the occasion shifted to the Obafemi Awolowo Square, Ikenne-Remo, where the late Olabisi Onajole Endowment Fund for Charity and Evangelism was launched, under the chairmanship of the wife of the Ogun State governor, Chief Mrs. Olufunke Daniel, represented by Mrs. Tomi Soboyejo. The members of the board of trustees of the fund are Pastor O.O. Kushimu, Mr. Rotimi Onajole, Otunba Sola Mosuro, Elder Funmi Omidele and Miss Tosin Onajole. The church service was graced by the Yeye Oodua, Chief Mrs. HID Awolowo; the Ogun State governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, represented by his wife, Chief (Mrs.) Olufunke Daniel; the Akarigbo of Remoland Oba Adeniyi Sonariwo; Ogun State top government functionaries and some members of the clergy.
